On December 17, 2025, the Russia-China Chamber of Commerce held a grand New Year Reception for the Chinese and Russian business communities at the Radisson Hotel in Moscow. Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui, Melnikov,Chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Association and First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Graziyev, Secretary of State of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, and Zhou Liqun, President of the Russia-China Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Chinese-Russian Friendship Association, attended and delivered speeches. Nearly 200 representatives from institutions stationed in Russia, Chinese-funded enterprises, Russian business circles, and the media participated in the event. On December 17, 2025, at the invitation of the Education Section of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, Yuan Yi, the director of Beijing DHH(Moscow) Law Firm, delivered a legal lecture to Chinese students across Russia through a combined online and offline format. The lecture focused on common legal risks encountered during overseas study, offering professional interpretations on issues such as document management, entry-exit administration, rental contracts, consumer rights, and compliant employment. It aimed to help overseas students clarify legal boundaries, regulate their own behavior, and achieve a "safe and enjoyable study abroad experience." Previously, from September 5 to 7, 2025, the Russian Bar Association, in conjunction with the Kutafin Moscow State Law University, organized the All-Russian Youth Legal Forum "ЮрСлёт," which attracted 150 law students from over 20 regions across the country and more than 10 top universities, including dozens of young researchers from the Kutafin Moscow State Law University. Lawyer Konstantin Dudov, as a keynote speaker, delivered a special report on "Major Legal Issues in Conducting Business Activities between Russia and China," systematically analyzing the core legal considerations and practical challenges faced by enterprises from both sides when operating in each other's markets. On December 3, 2025, the award ceremony for Russia's highest legal honor, the "Legal Professional of the Year" Award, was held in the Column Hall of the Trade Unions House. Established by a presidential decree in 2009, this annual award is presented on December 3, Legal Profession Day, to recognize the significant contributions of legal professionals to the state and society. The ceremony was attended by various political and legal representatives, including Dmitry Medvedev, Sergei Stepashin, Konstantin Tsytsenko, and Alexander Bastrykin. Ilanova Reili, the chief labor law expert from Beijing DHH (Moscow) Law Firm, was invited to attend the event.

Highlights of Some Recent Activities of DHH (Moscow)

To celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People&#39;s Republic of China and the 76th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia, the Chinese Embassy in Russia grandly held a reception in Moscow on September 26. Over 1,500 guests attended the event, including Ambassador Zhang Hanhui and his wife, First Vice-Chairman of the State Duma (the lower house of the Russian parliament) and Chairman of the Russia-China Friendship Association Melnikov, nearly 50 Russian political figures at or above the vice-ministerial level and friendly personages from all walks of life, envoys of more than 80 countries and international organizations in Russia, as well as representatives of Chinese-funded institutions and enterprises, overseas students, and overseas Chinese in Russia. In his speech, Ambassador Zhang Hanhui pointed out that under the strategic guidance of the two countries&#39; heads of state, China-Russia relations are at the highest level in history. He emphasized that the unilateral visa-free policy for Russia recently implemented on a trial basis by China will inject new impetus into deepening all-round and multi-field cooperation between the two countries.

President Zhou Liqun spoke highly of the work done by the Legal Industry Branch and DHH Law Firm for the development of Chinese-funded enterprises in Russia and the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries in 2021, and expressed appreciation to all lawyer teams for their great contributions.
